I'm glad I could help out alittle (with parts, I mean!)

Mina is the world's first Paranormal Petsitter in the new middle-grade book series by Gary Buettner, MONSTER PETS, coming in FALL 2014 from EMBY KIDS. Spooky adventure that's perfect reading for kids 8-12

Ah, the Dr. Steel head. I was wondering how that would look as a character. Good choice.

Anyone have some ideas on how to cut a piece of felt to look like a tie for King Pin?

You might be better of with material than the felt.
I find that if you mess with the felt to much it getts a little funny.

For my custom figures of bruce banner I use green material. I cut them in strips, and then I tie it around his neck as if it were a real tie. Once it is on I just snip the edges to look like a tie. By doing it this way you even get a knot which makes it look more real.

and the material is a lot easier to work with.
I'm guessing you are going red? just cut an old tee shirt - should work well

love that head for him - should be great when you are finished
