    60s style Vulture, For X-mas 2012.

dr_cyclops makes promises and then has to come through on them. Last X-mas promise this year, a custom Vulture for my friend Steve. Once again the 'Old Buzzard' is on the custom table. This time it's my attempt at using CTVT parts. (Go easy here, he's not paying me for this. lol)
Everything is moving along very well.
I'm using a restrung CTVT body and dark green bodysuit, FriendlyFelt-stretch fabric wings, thready white yarn, and custom cast and painted 'Old Buzzard' head. Custom window box by The Toyroom.
Really looking forward to this project, for the chance to work the wing-design better to the outfit.
    Photos coming soon.

OK, here he is. Restrung CTVT body and dark green bodysuit. Thanks to all of you for your help. Painted cast head slipped into the CTVT body with ease thanks to the advice I got here. Next pic will have collar and wings. The Toyroom box awaits.

amazing paints. You should swap out the hands for CTVT flesh monster hands for that creepy old man look.

Purchased 'Flesh Monster Hands' to go on the first Vulture custom. Don't recall why I didn't use them. Think I'll try them out on this one.

Just one in progress pic and from there, to the completed customs board. Last part is to redesign the stretch fabric to attach from the wings to the back of the bodysuit.
Thanks T-Bolt! The flesh monster hands really do work well with this character.

                          Tell me about this friendly-felt.

I've been planning Vulture for years, mulling over screening & considering layered vinyl wings, etc.

Couldn't they be designed in back like Falcon's?

                          Very nice, though! :-)
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

T-Bolt, No plans for a Ditko Spidey at this time. Although sculpting the head would be challenging enough, I have no idea how to do the black and red bodysuit, I'd want for this project. Know any good silk screeners for hire?

PNGwynne, Friendly-Felt(FF) is available at Joann Fabrics. Sold in sheets like Craft-Foam, it's stiffer than regular felt. Sticker/label says it's made from recycled plastic bottles. It appears that it's made from a spun and pressed process, Sews well to fabric and the porous surface allows for great fusion in gluing. (Example in photo: light green FF glued to dark green FF. Dark green FF sewn to bodysuit sleeves.)
As for 'The Falcon' design, I can't find any pictures to compare.
First concepts on my wing design, did not included using stretch-fabric to join FF wing to bodysuit. I quickly found that the seam holding the FF wing to the sleeve, would not be enough to keep it from flopping around on the arm. Stretch-fabric wing anchors FF wing to the bodysuit quite well.
