Fist Fighter Flash

I am interested in creating a fist fighter Flash figure. I am going to use the FF body, Shazam costume, and will use the retro Flash head and boots. What does everyone think about this as a custom figure. I will paint the FF hands yellow as to go for the Filmation Flash type figure.

I wouldn't paint the hands. Yellow hands are available.

I think the Filmation Flash is a great idea! I would reconsider the painted hands over molded in yellow plastic. Paint wears off around articulation points too easily, leaving a heavy worn look to the custom. I try to avoid, painting whenever possible.

I agree as well--do not paint hands if you can help it. You might also try molded yellow gloves, courtesy of Doc Mego.

Thank you for your help with this. I will look at the Dr Mego site and see which way would look better. I am leaning toward the yellow hands. I am using a Shazam suit that looks good. I am probably going to use the boots that are with the Retro action figure.

Also, if you want to go the T1 route, the Scrarecrow body (from the Wizard of Oz) comes with yellow hands.

Did the type 2 scarecrow have yellow hands? If so could swap forearms and hands.

I am just about done. I have the head installed and the costume finished. I used the Shazam suit with the Retro Flash boots. I am bidding on the type two Scarecrow for the arms/hands on Ebay. I have the extra Flash suit which I am also going to use the extra Spiderman arms/hands that i have so if I choose to switch between the types, I have the option. However, I am going to have Anthony from the Toyroom do a custom FF box for him. I am not sure which image I should use, the Filmation or the other. Any ideas?
