This has been a never-ending process. I would have taken pics, but seriously, every single day has consisted of plopping them into the dunk tank after work, then taking them out in the morning.
Not much to see really. What do you really compare them to, when you don't have an original?
I keep asking myself for days IS there a difference? I don't know.
Not until it became more extreme, could I tell.
I wanted to wait until I had 3 heads that were the same size,
but it appears that is not going to happen.
I suppose for the heck of it I could soak Starbuck an extra 12 hours or so just to make the head massive for the umpteenth time. I want to try using fresh acetone anyway.
Then he can look like Mad Max beyond thunderdome.
It just seems that the heads hit a point where it just doesn't matter anymore.
Definitely use fresh Acetone, my hypothesis is that it will be more effective. Between what has leached into it from the previous dunks, and evaporation, it's probably altered for the worse.
No, I am not using the scary acetone. Ever since the 1st bath (which took off ALL paint), I have only used clear Acetone.
I tried totally fresh stuff for last nite.
I have lost all frame of reference at this point.
Here are the originals
Here are mine
Are they any better?
Starbuck is big, but will be smaller tonight. Just a bit larger than Apollo.
Every day is like GROUNDHOG day. Nothing different.
* yes I wiped off the micro smudge. Since using all this acetone, it is amazing how clean my hands are.
You can barely tell I have been painting any customs.
