    Vulture: by dr_cyclops

Cast and painted head is attached to a DrMego standard male body. Costume awaits the forest green stretch fabric that will join the Friendly Felt wings to the bodysuit.

Nice, you captured the Ditko style with that one.

Really nice job. Definitely one of the best Vultures I've seen.

Thank you one and all for the support. The truth is that I owe you all, who have helped me along the way. When I said that this site/forum was a 'think-tank for custom megos', I wasn't blowing smoke. I hope one day my integrity for not making claims to others just to make them happy, shows just what a compliment means from me. Sadly, for the last 20+ years people have abused compliments to the point where no one believes them anymore.
My plan was to have castings available for sale by now. This didn't happen. In my attempt to commission mold making and casting to someone else, I've begun to suspect that I may need to do it myself. If this be the case, we are all in for a long wait. R&D is a long hard process. Saving up the money to begin such a process, may take way too long. I can't tell you how much this disappoints me. I really wish I had the money to jump-start this process.

I've had the same thought about a resin head "side" business and the cost is just way too prohibitive for my shoestring budget also. That's why sites like Doc Mego, Cast A Way, CTVT, Reproheads, etc...are/were so invaluable to customizers. I have done and kinda still do some molding and casting for myself if I have to, but not if a part is available somewhere else. I certainly do have a great appreciation for those that have put forth the money, time and effort to make things like this possible for everyone.

Please don't! as an extrovert I'm not offended by other extroverts. In fact, I consider them extremely considerate and polite.
Just curious, are you suggesting I ask DrMego to consider this commission work? Because I wouldn't mind some help. I just don't know who to trust.

Sure, why not? Shoot him an e-mail and see what he thinks. At the very least, he might be able to give you advice on the ups and downs, who you could trust, dealing with Marvel and DC, etc... I would imagine with his experience, he's probably THE one to ask, the leading authority, so to speak.

Thanks Captain. The only complete sculpts are with the mold maker at this time. Without anything complete on hand, I'll hold off on that email until I have something ready to go.

Perhaps not visable in the photos, but the way his neck is long and angled forward, creates a natural hump look to his back, on the standard 8" mego body. no padding to the bodysuit was necessary.
