I present Astroboy! A tip of the hat to Tothiro who inspired me. I need to redo the shorts and find another red Mego boot so I can swap out the blue ones. I like how the boots really make the figure scream Mego. I do have red Astroboy type rocket legs I can add but will have to cut shins below knee to add them and it seems to look less Mego to me and more like any Japanese toy. What do you guys think?

PS. Not sure if they would be long enough, but another boot option would be the blow molded boots at craft stores for creating Christmas decorations like Santa And the Elves. They also look more cartoony like Astroboys boots.

Thanks guys! I picked the figure up at Big Lots for $6 a year or 2 before Astroboy movie came out roughly 4-5 years back It's a Astroboy Rocket Boot Astro by Ban Dai Prices on Amazon are crazy from $34.95-129.00 What did I do??? Figure wasn't very articulated so gotta go with Mego style. For Hardcore Mego fans the belt is also vintage Mego Fighting Yank recycle.

Really? Which ones? Because I was thinking red hero boots cut straight across might come up to the knee just enough to allow knee posing.

Thanks for the boot ideas guys, I will have to do more research. I also thought about Plasti-Dip the legs to make boots anyone tried this?
