The sontaran I bought had to left arms but BBP was good enough yo replace it for me so I decided to use the head and accessories yo tweak him a but to try and get a slightly closer look to the one from the sontaran experiment episode, so after watching this(not that I need ann excuse to watch Classic dr Who), finding that Tamiya's buff colour was virtually I dentical to the sontarans skin color I made my start.
First thing I did was strip the figure down so I could repaint the head and Collar/Helmet, since I only had one hand I opted to use a spare body to remount these and paint the hands up to match the head. Not totally finished yest but I thought I'd Throw Up some WIP pics for you guys.
The head was based with tamiya's buff and then given a wash of seraphin sepia from citadel's new range and the eyes were painted ieh a semi closs black from tamita again Hope you like
Sorry about the quality they were snapped on my camera phone so the first and third head pic are washed out, the middle one is about the final colour.
The helmet was based in Tamiays metalic Grey it needs a wash to gruby itt down as well as some silver dry brushing.
