I still have quite a bit of work to do on him--weathering his loincloth and feet, wigging him, touching up his knife, stuff like that. He's made from a ACI Toys base Andrew 1.1 body, a head from Kaustik Plastik's KP01A figure, a spear and shield from what are apparently two different sets based on The Battle of Rorke's Drift from the Anglo-Zulu War, and a K-Bar knife from DML. The Kaustik head won't fit the ACI neck post properly, so there was some tinkering there, but it worked out okay. The lasso is just some hemp cord I found in the jewelry stringing section of Michaels. The hardest part by far was the loincloth, though--to hide the joints properly, I had to figure out how to make one and actually had to make a pattern and do some sewing. This is nothing for a lot of you guys and gals (go ahead and laugh at the newb, it's cool
), but it was my first time. I actually had to study Gordon Scott films to figure out how it was made--there's surprisingly more to it than I'd thought. The locket is made from a piece from a DML Andre Marek Timeline figure with gold wire replacing the brown string to simulate the chain. It's pretty much a kitbash with a lot of fussing. At any rate, I'm hoping to post a finished version in a couple weeks that looks considerably better. He needs a lot of tweaking still, but I hope you like what I have so far.
