    Project 87

With my wife slowly getting better each day, I feel like I can truly put some effort into my custom projects and truly feel it. I've been on autopilot for some time. I've also got a long overdue project for someone I'll be finishing up this week too.

Anyway, Project 87 is a collection of characters created in my major gaming days in high school. We collectively created a vast universe of characters, both player and non player. This is a small way of re-living that magical time for me, which was probably my peak of creativity. I don't really have a lot of backstories for these, just designs.

Unlike my Ultra City figures, these are just being made to display for me. A lot of the stuff I did back then might have been repetitive, but I can see the evolution of what I eventually became as a customizer. I was obviously highly influenced by Dave Cockrum and Mike Grell from Legion in the 80's and maybe a little Perez. Mostly it just comes from my odd sense of design, color and dynamics. I'm making only minor tweaks, the original 1987 designs are intact.

I hope to have some of these made soon to go with the MegoMeet figures I'll have available and the auction figure I'm attempting. I thank you all for your continued support. I'm not sure what my life would be like if I hadn't discovered this hobby.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Cool idea. I've thought about doing customs with my "Project 85" stuff.

I wrote (and published) a prose superhero story about a villian named THE FANATIC, who collects supehero memorabilia (usually after killing the hero in question), but I had to make up a TON of heroes for that story. I'd like to make some of them. I've got some role-playing guys and some original characters, and...
