Thanks guys. It's much appreciated. FYI, I just finished a couple of Inspector Clouseau figures to bring to megomeet. I should have 4-5 different figures on display and for sale.

Very nice setup Boss. Thanks for sharing your process. You mentioned you are casting in one piece thus avoiding the seam mark. Are you suspending the pieces or mounting/gluing to a base and then pouring? For example..you are casting the bottom calf portion of the leg...how is it positioned for your mold pour? I have done two sided casting for pieces but always have to deal with the seams.

the way I was taught was to take some Magic Sculpt (or similar product) and create a small "stand" for your piece to set on during the molding process. These "stands" usually end up being about the size and rough shape of a pencil eraser.

In the case of a lower leg I'm more concerned with the knee joint coming out clean than the ankle, so I tend to attach the ankle of the original part to the "stand". Then you take a PVC fitting that will fit around your part comfortably and also glue that to the stand. Pour your de-gassed mold material... and viola.

once you demold the part, you'll have a little reservoir where the "stand" was in which to pour the casting material. If you're casting under pressure or in a vacuum, you want to fill that up a little bit because you'll need some excess material to fill the area displaced during casting.
