I am going to overlay an additional graphic on the foil. It doesn't need to be able to take paint or anything. Just so long as it can hold up fairly well and not wrinkle instantly.
At craft stores... even I have found them at the Dollar Tree... they sell gold seal stickers. I have used it for badges in the past. Same material as like the gold star you used to get on your spelling test, but a lot more surface area to work with.
