Not only am I blown away with your talent with your toothpick after sunday brunch, but when I opened it I had my 5 year old daughter sitting next to me. Since I got her "into" Wonka like every child big and small should be, I asked he rwho that was in the picture and she knew!
Can't stop staring at this one. It's REALLY amazing, Ed. Such a beautiful likeness... And with a toothpick no less??? Geez, makes me wanna hang up my sculpting tools. Bravo, buddy.
Thanks everybody! I wish every head I started came along like this one did. My sculpting is so hit and miss. The sad part is after this one came out so well I know the next few will probably look like doo-doo.
As for instructional videos, watching this get sculpted wouldn't teach anything to anyone. My good sculpts are just happy accidents.
Hey Mike, either I misunderstand you or you misunderstood me. This isn't my first sculpt, it's not even the first time I tried to sculpt Wonka. I made an attempt to do a wonka head 9-10 years ago, it would have been my second mego custom but I did not wield the mighty toothpick well back then and gave up. Cut to Sunday morning, I decided that was the day( I have been thinking I needed to give it another try for about a year now). I've done a few other sculpts in the 9+years between the 2 wonka attempts. What was cool about this one is that it turned out well from start to finish. Most sculpts I do, I rework over and over till I'm happy.
