    Stormtrooper/Sandtrooper CustoMego in the works

    Hi All,
Just want to have a quick post of my Stormtrooper/Sandtrooper(just add the pauldron) head sculpt I did for my upcoming custom figure.
I still need to add the ribbing details on the neck and for the armor parts, blasters, comlink and other accessories will follow later.
I'll make a list of the parts I'm doing on my next post.

    What do you think?

    Thanks for Looking.
I'm here to fight for truth, and justice, and the American way.

Nice! Your sculpts are always so detailed and clean, they're just awesome. Can't wait to see the accessories. I'm sure someone has already asked at some point, but what kind of clay do you use?

                  Thank You Sir.
I use my own mix of semi wax polymer clay(tan color).I got the formula from a Korean and Taiwanese friends of mine who also blend their own clay.
This works for me specially to achieve a very detailed sculpt.
I also use super sculpey and super sculpey firm on some of my sculpts.
For me to achieve a clean look on the sculpts I do the following techniques.
                  1) After the surface are all smoothen out by a wooden or buffalo horn smoother tool,I gently rub a cloth (sheer fabric is the best to use) on the surface.
2)Then a quick brush on of lacquer thinner using a flat hair brush and let it dry, don't use synthetic hair brushes. The thinner will melt the synthetic hairs.Use 1/4" - 3/8" wide flat brush for mego scale sculpts.
You may also use a fine grit(grit #400) sandpaper on flat surfaces if you don't want to use the smoother tool.

Thank you that you've like my sculpt.
I wanted to assemble 2 stormtroopers in homage to TK-421 & TK-422 when I'm done up to the painting part and maybe later I could sculpt a Luke Skywalker & Han Solo head.

                    For the parts I need to sculpt are as follows;

1)Chest armor plate with the ribbed straps
                    2)Upper back armor
                    3)Belly armor plate
                    4)Lower back armor plate
                    5)shoulder armor cap
                    6)Biceps armor plate(front &back)
                    7)Forearms armor plates(front& back)
                    8)Belt with all details(front & back)
                    9)comlink
                    10) O2-Thermal detonator(will be attach to the back of belt)
                    11)cod piece
                    12) Buttocks armor plate
13)Upper leg armor plates (front & back)
                    14) Lower leg Shin Guards (front & back) and can be attach to a Hero boots.
                    15)Stormtrooper Blaster
                    16) Stormtrooper Blaster pistol (maybe)

                    For a Sandtrooper version;
                    1)Pauldron
2)Heavy Blaster Rifle or a Light Repeating Blaster
3)Backpack (to be attach at the back by a peg)

That's a long list of parts,Do I miss anything on my list?

Your hands have been blessed by GOD or Ralph McQuarrie.

If you decide to make these into a DIY kit consider one sold...to me.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.
