Thanks for the encouraging comments. I was able to spend some time yesterday finishing up the painting on the hands and feet. Now all i need to do is get everything sealed up so i can start assembly.

I do have a question on sealant. I was planning to use Mod Podge matte and likely still will, at least for a final coating. I've read that the glossier sealants are much better as far as protecting the underlying paint goes. Is it common practice to apply a couple coats of gloss and then finish off with a couple coats of matte?

I use auto spray clear coat to seal my figures. The figure is looks great so far. The costume and paint job on the head are really nice.

Spent a little more time on the painting, tweaking it here and there until i was happy with it. I think i'm calling it done. Ready to start sealing it up.

Thanks for all the kind words. I can't wait to get him finished and put him up in the Finished Customs forum .

mikeoz, thanks a bunch for making this possible. I am very proud of my Creature and i couldn't have done it without your help. The detailed painting and sewing instructions you provided were well thought out and very thorough. And the outfit and castings speak for themselves.... pure awesome!

Great paints! I use the spray matte called plaid. You can buy it at Joannes and Michaels. It works good, but sparay from a distance and not to much.

Need to apply the last couple coats of sealer and let that dry real good. I used Mod Podge Glossy for the first 3 coats, and will top that off with a couple coats of Mod Podge Matte. Will probably try and assemble him Saturday. Bought some plastic styrene rods to make wrist and ankle pins. Hopefully he'll be up in the Finished Customs forum by Sunday .
