My favorite samurai! I sculpted his head (hair is perfect for Red Sun but too neat for Yojimbo)...Been worrying about a sword...luckily the 1:6 scale outfit produced by Crazy Owners has a mego-scale katana! It's also metal and has a sheath.

That is awesome. My dad is nuts for samurai films and we've been watching a great deal of them together. Is this the part of a series? Would love to see you do Zatoichi or Lone Wolf and Cub! -
I would give anything for sculpts of all 7 of the Seven Samurai... To neat for Mifune's character but the sword might work for th long sword he wore strapped to his back... Would work for Kagemusha (sp?) or Throne of Blood.. do you plan to cast these?Don't be sorry. How would you know? You've been watching MTV all your life.Comment

Regarding the hair, I've got plans I'm churning in my head. I can adjust this Mifune headsculpt to portray Kuroga, Yojimbo or Red Beard or Kagemusha. I can probably make his helmet too. It's one of my passions.
I'm waiting for my DVD to arrive of the Seven Samurai. Haven't watched it in years but I am going to sculpt this guy soon. When I get the DVD I can study the faces of the other samurai...

Nice head.
Funny, when my sister and I were little and my mom would give us the Pebbles Flintstone hairdo, I always remember my dad calling us his little Mifune's.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

He's got to be awesome! I already have a hakama in hand, and all I need to do is look at how it's constructed to reconstruct it...and I'm also going to resculpt the feet to split the big toe from the little toes so I can have him wear a waraji.Those who look outside dream. OMG me too. I've seen it so many times, but I don't know where my videotape of it is. I think I videotaped it the last time they showed it on KQED more than 10 years ago. I just recently bought it and it's taking way too long to get here. I didn't realize they had it on instant play on Netflix...so I'm watching it now. It's soooooo awesome!!
