No, it's a composite utilizing a cover from a Ape Marvel Comic and frame grabs from the Ape cartoon Return To The Planet Of The Apes. Painting out the Ape General was a chore (for me at least) and it's still can use touch ups (for instance I think the omega bomb looks a bit bent on top).
Keeping a 70's toy art look to these things is what I love to do though.
