If you want to use leather, use very fine leather, like the kind used in gloves. You might want to check out online sources of kid leather, that's got the right weight for a figure of that size.
I have to admit, I am looking forward to seeing these done.Leave a comment:

Darth Vader CustoMego in the works
Hi All,as I have mentioned in the Finished Customs Forum about my to do list and mentioned that I'm in the process of doing a Darth Vader figure. Here are photos of the upcoming figure that I'm doing and hope you will all like it when it's finished.
Here is the resin cast of the head, sorry the clay was destroyed when i was pulling it out of the mold, got so excited.

Here is the shoulder armor clay sculpt and the resin cast. The front and back are two separate piece and can be glued together.

Here are all the body accessories which includes the square chest plate and Darth Vader's jock strap.

And Finally the new card art for the series I called "SITH UNLEASHED"
Darth Vader and Darth Talon(which will be next).

I'm so excited to get this done, but "haste makes waste" as they say, still looking for good leather for the clothing and other details I need to add.
