I use various brands of acrylic paints. I prefer to use Gamer's Workshop paints, but I also use lots of paints from Michael's. Those are pretty good and much less expensive. Lots of colors to choose from also.
All of my heads are sealed with Rust o Leum's Grip and Guard (credit for this goes to Ed Nagy). Unfortunately, they do not make this product anymore so I stocked up when I found this out and still have 3 cans left. Then I spray a coat or two of Testors Dulcotte to remove the "shine".
BTW, the best "flesh" colored paint I found is Testor's Model Master's "Skin Tone Warm Tint". David Lee turned me on to this year's ago and I swear by it.Check out ALL my customs at https://www.facebook.com/megowgshcustomsComment

It's hard to beat that Signatures Doc Ock, & that's about the best Black Bolt I've seen.
