Saw this at a Ross store the other day and thought it was pretty close to scale and would make a good MACH-5 or even just a cool car for MEGO's to ride around in.
Yeah I picked one up last year... The body is a little off but it could still be made to work. They're really well built, but you can't sand the plastic. The scale is dead-on, megos fit perfectly in the seats.
It's pretty close, but there'd be a lot of work on the things you'd need to change. Not so much sticks to that plastic so good. It'd probably be better to scratch-build.
Print some custom stickers slap em on and go. The movie mach 5 looks nothing like the anime one so what's the difference. It's close enough to pull it off with no body work. Just call it the Mach 5 v3.

True, and the Mego Batmobile ain't exactly an exact copy of the Barris Batmobile either
"...The agony of my soul found vent in one loud, long and final scream of despair..." - Edgar Allan Poe
I happened to go back to Ross(always looking for DVD's even though I HATE going to that store) and wanted to update my original post by letting those who might be interested know that they have it priced at $11.99. Pretty cheap considering the eBay prices I saw and what the original retail must have been($29.95?).
I also wanted to point out, since some have said that the scale is perfect for Mego's, there have been three other Bratz cars made. One's looks like a Chevy convertible, one a classic Mercedes and the other reminds me of a convertible Black Beauty(Green Hornet). Haven't seen these show up at the discount stores myself, but they might be out there. The Chevy/hot rod one in particular made me think of a perfect car for the Happy Days dolls that are out there.

I hope someone can get some use out of these things.
