Cmonst. Im going to shave my dogs leg to make a gorilla body for A steambath mego. I'll let you know if my procedure works right now my dogs cringing in a corner looking at me very very unsuspectingly.
MUAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I read those threads when the figures came out, so I know you've mentioned when you sculpted upon an original Mego head... I only asked because that head looked very familiar and I was trying to pinpoint it... But, being it's an original sculpt, my question was moot... No offense intended...

Mike,
That head is an original sculpt. I do not buy, recast, nor shrink or enlarge other people's work to "re-tool" or "re-use" or whatever term you'd deem applicable. My POTA Zako and Zaius were sculpted over the original, vinyl soldier ape and Dr. Zaius mego heads, respectively. I feel that the changes and modifications I made to those heads were very significant, but that's just my opinion.
You can go search the actual threads for each of those heads in which I clearly and openly stated that they were sculpted over original mego heads. I sculpt most of my heads from scratch. Those POTA pieces mentioned a rare exception in which I used the existing toy as a base for my sculpture, simply because I really like the sculpting work on them and wanted to keep the retro feel and mego-ness of the original toys, intact.
Looking at this figure again, that head looks familiar but I can't pinpoint it. Is that an enlarged Medicom CONQUEST gorilla with some reworking or is he an original sculpt?
