POTA animated series soldier ape

Hey all,

Soon the Cmonster and the General shall RETURN to the Planet of the Apes!!! Here's an in progress prototype of the first figure in our animated series apes; The soldier ape. This line has been tough, tough, TOUGH to get to look right. I wanted to really try and capture the hand drawn, animated feel to the show. It's tough because all the characters look different from show to show and even in some cases, frame to frame.

I love the show and I've always wanted to do these customs. I just picked a couple of images I liked for reference and went for it... Here's the result of the first pass, painted up real quick;

Sandy, do, or have, you ever done any ape heads in 1:6? I'm a huge POTA fan, and while I still have my old Mego apes, I've grown to prefer the 12" scale. I'm constantly searching for more sculpts to add variety [Jess has been a godsend in that department!] to my garrison.
