A really great custom goes beyond just representing the character. It captures the individual quality that makes that particular character so cool. You've done that with Jay in spades. Awesome work!

You are so on the money there. With the heroes a nice smooth expression works so well. relaxed with smiles and winks. Villains have a more freedom, yet need to be tamed as well. Extreme expression should be used for the exceptions only. (Never did like the original Thing's open-mouth look.)
Now I got to shut-up cause I got myself wanting to sculpt a Solomon Grundy, and I can't even finish what I got going now.

Troy, I gotta say, and this comes form my customizing heart, that is one of my favorite custom figures I've ever seen. It has such a charm about him and is full of character. Every piece if him is perfect in every respect. I can't really say I've seen much of your previous work, but if this is representative of it, consider me a fan. I look forward to a final shot with the box.

This is truly an amazing piece of artwork. It's been a real pleasure seeing this come together.

That is so Golden age. Sure the hat ROCKS!!! but I gotta say. The expression and style of the head sculpt is a hit out of the PARK!!! If Mego was to do a Golden Age figure. This would be IT!!! That is so MEGO!!!

When I first saw the head sculpt, I thought you should not have done the wink. Then I pictured it (in my mind) with both eyes open and that didn't work. Then I pictured it with both eyes closed. Way too Max Fleicher Superman. That's when I realized it was perfect just the way you did it.

I hope that you all didn't mind me pounding the forum with all these picks and updates. I had shyed away from doing this in the past, but I found that it really helped my to stay on task. I might do the same for my next project.

Thank you so much. My wife's sister has some rehab in front of her, but she is going to be just fine. My Grandma, on the other hand "sigh". She needs a lot of love and a lot of prayer.

It is a busy look. I'm making 10 total and was thinking about doing 5 with the leg lightening & 5 without. Hmmmm. Perhaps I'll make some lightening out of tape just to see how it looks before I commit.
