Wowie ddgaff! I'm happy to know that you will venture onto the Planet of the Apes. The more, the merrier.
I did not own any Megos as a child either, human or ape. I look back and wonder how I let that happen.

Hey Jess
You are incredible!!! How incredible you ask. After viewing you great stuff. I've been grabbing up all the POTA stuff I could find on Ebay. Right now I'm waiting for 2 ape heads to arrive in the mail. I never owned any as a child. But after seeing all your great stuff and the recent showings of the films on AMC. POTA became my next must have Mego's.Leave a comment:

Cornelius is coming together very nicely. I see Galen is curing at the moment.Leave a comment:

I see. Do you think the mocassins might be an easier shoe to sculpt?Leave a comment:

Here is a body shot of Cornelius, showing off his new shoes. You can see that they don't look horribly huge on his feet and once painted up will look better.

Those shoes looked ok, but they didn't work. They looked like clown feet, so I trimmed them and reworked them. They still look spuddy, but not like clown feet and they are removeable.

Don't these look like huaraches?

I peeled off the first sculpt and you can see the size difference:

Jessica, thanks for sharing your idea for a removable ape shoe. I should try to make one for Dr. Zaius.Leave a comment:

I sculpted ape toes over a pair of orange Robin shoes that I got from Brown Bear with Apoxie so that I could create a pair of removeable shoes, and they're still curing:

Forgot to mention that Cornelius is currently undergoing some minor surgery. I am changing out his neck plug with a ball plug, my first one. Hopefully it will make him easier to pose so I could get better shots of his whole outfit.Leave a comment:

Hey Jess.
My god that is outstanding work. But please remember. Most artistist are never truly satisfied with there creations and begin to "overwork them to death."Leave a comment:
