    Help for a novice

I just bought my first resin head. I know that I have read (somewhere) on the proper procedure for fitting the head on a body but I can't find it when I need it. Should I sand the neck plug/enlarge the neck hole/heat the torso/or something else? I'm excited about getting started, but would prefer not to ruin a body or a head. Any help would be appreciated.

    Welcome Stuart.

I'm not much more than a novice myself, but here's what I do for resin heads and it's not failed me yet.

I sand the neck plug down. I do not have a Dremmel or rotary tool yet, but I know that would make life easier. I just sand the hell out of the neck by hand making sure I get 360 degree sanding to make it even. If you go too far and the plug fits a little loosely, just wrap keep wrapping scotch tape around the plug to thicken it and it'll fit right in the hole easily.

Best of luck getting this first one done. You'll have to post the results. BTW, which character are you doing?

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

That's pretty much what I do too. Sand, then fit. Sand a little more if need be. You should sand it till you can almost fit the plug in the hole, but not quite. Then your basically there, you just need to force it in the hole a little, that way you'll have a tight fit. If you did sand it down too much, wrapping it with scotch tape works wonders
