I think it's a priest collar, or maybe a preacher?

Basically the white collar worn by religious dudes.

Any suggestion? I was thinking maybe a harder plastic ring to help keep the shirt collar shut too.

If you're asking for its name, it's "clergy collar" or "clerical collar," but priest's collar is clear, and you even sometimes here them called "dog collar." It depends on the shirt you are putting it on, but I think the plastic ring idea works. It's too bad they haven't made Father Merrin in Mego-style from The Exorcist. I was hoping when the Lost figures came out that they'd offer Mr. Eko in his priestly garb, but they never did.

I'm working on Jesse Custer from the comic series Preacher. The black button up shirt I'm using looks ok, but the collar tends to pop open.
