Semi-custom Shazam!
BlackKnight's recent post of his great custom Captain Marvel encouraged me to share how I "upgraded' my Mego Shazam! (I'm new here, so I apologize if I'm rehashing someone's earlier ideas
).
To your vintage Cap, add:
1. A DC Direct Shazam: First Appearance figure's cape--well-made with great details. Pricey but nice.
2. CTVT yellow pirate boots (I like Doc's yellow Conan boots, but they seem too snug.)
3. Carefully remove the sewn-on vinyl belt and replace it with a sash of yellow satin ribbon.
Actually, you could do the above with a Doc Mego repro head & red jumper, using yellow vinyl to add cuffs to the sleeves.

I "upgraded" my Captain Marvel a year or two again with the help of Dr. Mego. These yellow pirate boots I got from him are perfect. I am in no way comparing mine to Jasons. His is probably the best Captain Marvel mego on the planet. I am debating if I want the marvel family to have a sash yellow satin ribbon belt yet.
