    Acetone voodoo head shrink

So, I've shrunk a head using acetone and made a mold. I was just wondering if there is any reason why you couldn't shrink a head and just use that head. The head I want to shrink, I can only see maybe one good use for it and I hate to waste the silicone to make a mold that is just going to sit.

I'm thinking of the famous covers Toad head. Ugly mug that he is.

    Any thoughts?

Sometimes you can use them, but they usually turn kind of hard and brittle.

I've shrunk a couple 12 inch heads to 9 inch size, and repainted them with pretty good results.
