Boy, it's been a bit since I've seen my Grodd. Heres the as built info on him. He starts with a type 2 8" body. I made the fur suit and it bulked him out a bit. I sculpted the hands and feet large so they fit well with the suit. His head started from a POTA soldier ape, I altered it and recast it. What wrapped it all up was the chest section which is from a fat body. The pic of him doesn't do justice. I was using a scanner ( that's how i do most pics of my customs) and I couldn't get him to show up enough.
        Glad he's still liked.

          Grodd Uncovered

          Hello all,

Here is my Grodd from a number of years ago. Dave Mc made the suit for me...a long time ago when he was the go to hired gun.

I particularly liked the body combo that I put together to give him a gorilla like physique.

Penguin body with Hulk limbs = Monkey-like.

I sure do wish Dave still had nothing better to do than clothe our customs!

a customizer used one of the generic ape heads I sell and Brian Leitner made a cool hairy ape outfit/jumpsuit for it. It was pretty cute.

Kudos to Ed for still getting his well-deserved attention
for his take on GRODD from so long ago.

I could say a few great things about the figure---but one
thing especially stands out---the fact that GRODD, like the Hulk,
is supposed to be significantly larger in scale to a regular human

                  yet

can be made into a custom that is roughly the same size

while still giving the IMPRESSION that it's much larger

is an advantage to a display where you're constantly aware of trying
to save space and trying to not have one figure stand out from
the rest just because it's bigger ---or doesn't happen to look "Mego-like" enough
                  for your taste.

Great job Ed----vaya con dios Martin!

This is a close up on the hands and feet he did in relation to standard size hands and feet
