Has Anybody Ever Considered CHiPs Customs?

I've been watching season 2 of CHiPs on DVD and I've been wondering if anyone has ever considered makinng customs of the other cops on CHiPs. I just bought Ponch and Sgt Getraer and will go after Jon next. I also want to find 3 Mego CHiPs motorcycles.
Anyway, I would love to either make or see someone make some of the other cops from that show. Like Artie Grossman or the cruiser cops like Bonnie or Barikza, Fritz or Turner. And for a more interesting project, I'd like to see someone attempt customs of Ponch's new partners from the last season. Bobby and Bruce Nelson.
Though I'm not really a customizer, I figure the only one I am capable of putting together would be Bruce Nelson (Bruce Penhall). All you need is a Ponch head painted or non and repaint the figure with blonde hair, brown eyebrows, and blue eyes. And another Mego CHiPs uniform.
If anyone considers customizing CHiPs. Let me know. I'd like to see your work.

I don't think that's a crazy idea, at all. When I was a kid I really liked the 8 inch and 3 3/4 inch CHiPs figures. I often wished there were other "supporting" figures to go along with the existing CHiPs figures.

So what's wrong with him wanting CHiPs customs... CHiPs was an actual MEGO line, so what's wrong with wanting to expand it? I mean making customs for that series is no different than anything else.. I mean by bashing his wanting CHiPs figures, then you might as well say "Uh... no" to anyone that wants customs of The Dukes of Hazzard... Uncle Jesse anyone: "Uh... no".

While we're on the subject, does anyone really need a custom figure of Bob Barker? "Three's Company"? More Superheroes? I'm sure that there's at least one person who would say "no" to all of those custom figures...

CHiPs was a pretty popular show, and there's probbaly quite a few MEGO collectors that actually enjoy the show and don't own the figures just to be a completist... Why shouldn't someone attempt it if it's their idea of a good line to expand?

Although I DID sort of make CHiPs customs. The figures are pretty snazzy, and make for decent Supercity police; so I put some outfits on a few other figures, chopped one down for a Mary Ellen Walton figure, custome'd a Conan head for a new Sarge (what's the deal with that smile?!?!?) and are still looking for bikes. I'm still looking for a new emblem.

Wait.... does this mean I'VE made a custom Walton figure.......?

Right on!! Thanks for the support. For the first two "characters" who replied and decided to talk down to me because of my interests Mego Wise, I'll have you know that they WERE indeed Mego lines and Mego probably wouldn't have made them had they not been as popular as they were not to mention Starsky and Hutch.
This is the reason why I do not visit let alone post in this forum anymore. I originally came here hoping to make some friends of the same interests. Megos!! I did not come here to get into a flaming war or make any enemies. I've already been through that once. I refuse to go through that again. So I won't get angry this time.

But I WILL defend my interest in saying this.

I love three buddy TV shows from my era:

1:The Dukes fo Hazzard
2: CHiPs
3: Starsky and Hutch

3 shows I never thought I would like. What sold me on these shows?
MEGO TOYS!! When I saw figures and vehicles of these shows as a kid, I got them and began watching the shows and I've loved them ever since and still do. To me, they are better than all this reality crap that's on TV today, but that's just my opinion and nothing more.
In terms of Megos, I love WGSH of course!!, The Dukes of Hazzard, CHiPs, and Starksy and Hutch, and to an extent, Happy Days.
I am NOT into Star Trek, Planet of the Apes, or The Wizard of Oz. I don't have anything against them, I'm just not into them.
I only wanted to hear from like minded Mego fans who may have enjoyed these shows and had the toys of these Megos. Plus, Mego CHiPs, Dukes, and S& H can be found at better prices than the other lines, probably because they were not as popular as WGSH, Apes, Wizard of Oz or Trek, and that's good for me!!!
So in conclusion, I ask this and I ask this as nicely as I can. Please don't persecute me for what I like. I probably don't like some of the things you like. I have as much right to my opinion as the rest of you do. So please don't insult me on my hobbies and interests and I will treat you with the same respect. Is that too much to ask for?

I loved chips as a kid and had them as well.I have thought a couple of times about doing some custom figures but get sidetracked easily by other figs and projects but to answer your question YES I have thought about it and if you do it I for one would love to see them.
I mean I thought the oz figures sucked and somebody here did some Awesome custom figs to that line and made me totally like the originals because of his customs.(sorry forgot who made the oz customs,but they are awesome)

I wanted to get a swat police car and customize it out as a chips cruiser but found them hard to come by.
So please keep us posted as to your custom projects or ideas.
