Super Psyched for Next Custom....

I am excited for my next project....G.I.Joe.....

I bought a shrunken Joe head from starbuk a while back and have since painted it. Today I mailed it to Action Burt (Mike) who has agreed to flock the hair/beard for me. Also DocDrako has hooked me up with the perfect clothes.

I need your advice about his hands.....He's going to be on a classic old school AJ body. Please tell me which option is better.

(A) leave his hands as is.
(B) cut his hands off and replace with hands from Big Jim's western figures which look exactly like "kung fu grip"

Don't want to ruin the figure by going overboard, but think it may add more of an Adventure Team look to it.

I say go with the "Kung Fu Grip" hands all the way. If your putting him on a type 1 body, I would definitely recommend re-stringing it or he'll never stand up on his own.

Mike received the head safely and is flocking it in the next few days. I can't wait to see it.

Still undecided about the hands, but I did decide to move from type 1 to type 2, to give more of a muscle-body A-Team look.

When I was a kid I couldn't stand Joes with KFG. But after collecting Joes as an adult, I don't know why I didn't like KFG. They can hold things! Better than those nose picker hands. So, yeah, KFG.

The Kungfu grip has been completed and although the hands look slightly too big, it looks cool.

All that awaits is ActionBurt's amazing flocking skills to arrive back in Canada and we have a finished custom.
