whats everyone use for a release agent?

    hey guys,
I'm new to the custom world. i would like to know what you guys use as release agents? there has to be something cheaper than the price you pay at a hobby store.
Ok. Orphans! Listen to Ignacio. I know it is fun to wrestle. A nice piledrive to the face... or a punch to the face... but you cannot do it. Because, it is in the Bible not to wrestle your neighbour.

I use smooth-on smoothcast. With it, I don't need a release agent at all in normal use. If I have something somewhat sticky, like a hydrospan head, I'll rub some baby powder on it. Works great and is very cheap.

          Hmmmm....

I never use a release agent. BUT I do use a thin layer of talcum powder in my molds when I cast. Helps prevent air bubbles.

Hello ~ New to the community here, but of course, a collector of Megos since my Mom bought me the original Batman and Robin figures from the 'first four' back in '72/73. Anyone here offer head-shrinkings for reasonable rates..? I have a Mattel 1999 Bergman head which I'd love to have shrunk/painted to Mego size for some outfit customizing. I'm assuming that head's used for some of the excellent customs I've seen. If I'm incorrect, let me know; I've seen pics of the new 'retro' line, and the shrunken Bergman heads look much better than the newly released Barry Morse likeness.

              Just curious ~ Thanks much,

              David B.

I use smooth on mould release.
a cheap alternative is vaseline mixed with white spirt, i used to use it when i cast white metal figures.
