Playmates Clothing

Just wanted to ask if the 9" Playmates clothing fit 8" Megos well?

I have TNG Riker, Data, LaForge and Worf, on Mego Trek bodies and there
all in there birthday suits, the playmates TNG outfits are two piece, shirt-pants
don't want the clothing to look to big or bulky on the Mego bodies, would like to
stay away from doing any cutting of clothes.

The outfits are too big without some pretty major modifications. I altered the green shirt Kirk for a Mego, and it took a bit of doing. Not horrible mind you, but you can't just put the uniform on the Mego's, either.

The slightly larger new remego bodies might do a bit better, but I still think the Playmates uniforms will be too big as they are.

I've purchased many of these Playmate's 9 inch Star Trek dolls and do not consider them compatible to the 8 inch scale, unless you are looking for giant size characters.

Thanks guys for the info, too bad, but then again I would end up with nude TNG playmates
if the clothes did fit the 8" megos.

depending on if you wanted to have Laforge and Worf in red suits or not, reflecting the early days of TNG, you could cloth them and Riker relatively cheaply with EMCE Picard suits. It's a shame Data never came out, otherwise we'd have the yellow suit available as well.

I've scaled them down a bit of a pain,but not impossible

I've used the Playmates 9" Captain Kirk green belly shirt on an 8" EMCE and it fit well and looks great.
