It's a good argument - and I think Roy has a point. There is definitely a difference between a Mego-like/Megoesque custom and a Flatt-style custom. And therein lies the rub. Charlee Flatt changed Mego customizing forever. No one can dispute that. He went for a more realistic, detailed look in his Mego-like customs...and therefore created a new "art" form.
I personally like both styles. I make both styles - anyone who has seen my work knows that. And you're right Roy...you can easily tell the difference between a Megoesque custom and a Flatt-style custom.
And until two separate finished custom sections exist at the Museum, the only place to post is in the finished customs section. Would that be a good idea to have two sections for completed customs? Maybe. That way people who like ONLY mego-style could look at that style. Is it necessary to have two sections? Probably not. If you don't like the Flatt-style customs, close the thread and don't post. Simple as that.
As for me, I'm going to keep you guessing when I post a character. Is it Mego-like? Is it Flatt-like? Hmmmm...you'll have to take a peek and see
