Late 70's Elvis Presley Head Sculpts?

Hello!

For my first custom, I'd like to create a Mego-style figure of late 70's Elvis Presley. My first intent was to simply use CTVT's Fonzie head and cover the face with some black sunglasses. Then, however, I figured that it wouldn't at least hurt to ask around on the forums to see if anyone had already sculpted a head with the likeness of Elvis Presley already in mind. I'm also aware that there are already some Elvis Presley Ken dolls made in the mid 90's, and I assume that any of those heads could be shrunken down to the 1/6th scale. I'm specifically looking for an Elvis head in the style of his appearance in the late 1970s, and I haven't seen any figures of Elvis from that era before, I'm afraid. If someone does have a head that is unpainted, then I'm more than willing to paint it myself, need be.

I'll take a look for that, jwyblejr, thanks! I don't really know how one would remove the Pez head and mold, size, and cast it for a Mego body. Would anyone be able to do such a thing for me?

Also, the only issue I seem to see with the 70's Pez head is that the collar is attached to the head. I'm guessing that it wouldn't be too hard to remove the collar after casting into clay again. I'm a bit uneducated in the realm of molding and casting Pez/Mego heads, so any help at all would be most appreciated!

I kind of thought this might be the best one to shrink for a Mego (see pic below). I wonder if McFarlane' Aloha Elvis enlarged might be better?

This isn't to nitpick, but to help you be clear about the "Elvis" you are looking for. The pictures you have, of the look you want, are Elvis in 1970...the first one (the black and white) is from when he met Nixon in December 1970 and the next two are from "Elvis: The Way It Is" which was filmed in late Summer 1970. That's a very different Elvis compared to the late 70s. He was at the top of his game during the time those pictures were taken and in decline by 1973/1974 and rapidly declined after that.

I checked out those PEZ heads hoping to find one. One has an army hat (GI Blues), one looks NOTHING like him and the one I do like has a collar attached to the head.

Too bad. It was a great idea.

Well, there is a Custom Mego you Elvis head out there. Elvis still looked good in the early 70's...you could re-sculpt the hair?
