How to clean original Mego clothes?

Sorry if i'm posting in the wrong spot. i didn't see the in the Custom Mego Tips area. can anyone tell me the safe way to washa mego costume? i just got a Joker suit and the feet are a little funky. i just want to be sure not to wreck it as it's going to become the Teen Titan Joker's daughter outfit on female figure.thanks for any help. No i didn't intend to start my custom work with that character, it's funny how things move along and sway you into different characters you weren't planning on to start.

Normally, i'd say use Oxiclean and a little warm water in a bowl...

BUT,

For a Joker suit, I wouldn't recommend it.

Multi-coloured Mego suits have a tendency to run their colours into each other with Oxiclean.

For a Joker suit, I would try dishwashing detergent (the regular liquid kind) with some warm water... dishwashing detergent is very mild.

A little gentle scrubbing helps when you use the dishsoap (woolite also is a good choice). I use a soft toothbrush.
