    Moebius Adam West Batman

Has anyone tried to convert the Moebius 66 batman head for a mego doll? How is the scale?

I think its 1/8th scale, which would be too big.

Batman 66 is actually a lot better size wise than Alfred or Bizarro.

That photo is terribly misleading. '66 Batmans head is bigger than Mr Fantastic which is bigger than Spiderman. It's size is easier to accept than Bizarro and Alfred, but I still get annoyed at how large it still is.

how is it misleading? That was on a flat surface and straight above.

It's misleading because one is upside down which makes it difficult to compare the two and Spider-Man doesn't have visible eyes, nose, and mouth to line up with Batman. It makes it appear they are relatively the same size when they aren't.

^Yeah, Batman's head is significantly larger. The top of Spider-Man's head is even with Batman's chin, so the reverse should be the same, but the top of Batman's head passes Spider-Man's chin and goes all the way down to the neck plug.

that was the only way I could do it without removing the heads, which I am not doing. Most others say Spidey is a bit undersized, compared to a lot of FTC's huge, and I mean HUGE, blunders the Batman series has done a lot better. Solomon Kane looks like one of those Mardi Gras heads. They lost a sale on that one to me, along with Bizarro. Hope they don't screw up Jonny Quest or Super Friends(anymore than they have with that goofy Superman), like they have so far with the additions to WGSH that they have made so far.

I don't have issue with the 66 Batman head at all. It's not perfect, but I'd take it every time. Put it next to an original Joker head, one of my personal favorites. I'm surprised it bugs anyone.

I have a smaller resin 66 Batman head if you're interested. PM me.

Alright, I took my own pictures to help explain what bothers me about the 66 Batman. I put the figures on my scanner to make sure all the images would be the same. The big image is the untouched scan to show there wasn't any photoshop trickery and the small image is of the heads lined up, also no trickery. (Haha! Nevermind that I need to buy my scanning software again. I got a new computer and I can't find my old code.)

We all know Mego head sizes vary quite a bit. As far as I'm concerned, smaller than Aquaman is too small and larger than Mr. Fantastic is too large.
Having said that, I feel Superman and Kirk are perfectly sized Mego heads.

So here are images that compare Superman and Kirk with Batman:

Compared to what I consider the ideal size, Batman looks huge.

Now it's generally agreed that the CHiPs heads are too large. I believe they are too large as well.

Batman lines up with Ponch as far as overall size goes if you include Ponch's poofy hair. However, if you line up the chin, eyes, and imagine where the top of Ponchs head would be underneath all that hair, then it's clear that Batmans head is even bigger than Ponch.

This is what I see every time I look at these new Batman figures despite constantly hearing they're fine.

In this image, I resized the middle ones head to match Superman and it looks amazing to my eye.

So that's it. That's what bothers me. I guess since all the 66 heads are the same size as each other, they look ok next to themselves and they look great next to Alfred and Bizarro.

I dunno. When I put 66 Batman anywhere near Bizarro or Alfred they still look huge to me. For me anyway, I expect a little more deck height on the Batman head due to the cowl. And when I compare Gorshin, Ward, Romero to Bizarro or Alfred I think B&A even look more out of place. I guess we're at an impasse.......I don't sculpt either, so I am sure you see things that I don't notice.

Well, that's what I meant, the Batman head looks great compared to Bizarro and Alfred. I see now that I wrote that wrong.
