If you are thinking Testors model paint, I never had good results and stopped using it immediately. Acrylics, and good brushes. There is a good head painting tutorial in the museum. I follow it almost exactly and have been getting much better results."Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."Comment

Hmmmm....
I use house primer first, then typically acrlics. The Games Workshop stuff is good. So are the Reaper paints. (reaper.com has them) I use Liquitex and Createx too; although the Createx stuff is real thin. Liquitex and Createx paints are designed for airbrushes. (So yeah, I use 'em when I airbrush too.)
Testors enamel is WAY thick, and not good for heads with a lot of fine detail, although I HAVE used it on more than a few custom heads. Use it carefully. Testor's green is a good match for a green Mego body, and Testor's wood is a good match for a caucasian body.
When you're done, Testor's varnish is really good. I give 'em a whack of gloss (it protects better) and once that's dry a coat of matt to remove the shine.
