I've got an FTC shirt on the way that is slightly brighter than I need. It's a button up plaid shirt that I would like to look weathered. My first thought was a diluted bleach soak but I've never done that so any thoughts?

Don't know how quickly you want it weathered, but a good way to fade fabric is mix 1 part white vinegar, I part hydrogen peroxide, some common table salt and some water. Mix 'me all together, and don't wring it out, just hang it out in strong sunlight for a little while (or until you reach the desired level of weatheredness). Try white paint over it. Diluted white acrylic. Or airbrush/spraypaint white over it. Works for me every time I am trying to make a color into a hueComment

I might buy a couple of shirts and experiment. I'm going to make a run of these if successful. Essentially I'm taking an FTC blue plaid shirt and trying to make it look like flannel.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
