Best way to attach a 12" Mego head to a Hot Toys or Dragon type body??

I seen someone had sold a set of the Series 2 KISS FTC Megos on Ebay not to long ago, and the put the heads and costumes on Hot Toys doll bodies and was thinking about doing a custom and trying that myself. Just wondered what any of you custom pros would suggest? Is it just as simple as cutting the neck ring off and glueing it to a neck joint? Or is there more involved??
