Patterns/suggestions for Mego-scale robes?

Hi all,
I'm looking to customize a Mego-style figure of a particular character that wears a robe (similar to one a Catholic Pope would wear). Are there any patterns of such an article of clothing? I'm sure I could whip one up through a lot of trial and error, but a pattern of sorts would make it quite a bit easier (and cheaper). I've seen several other patterns of various costumes, capes, etc, but I haven't come across a robe of any type.
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
