I believe it is possible to make these with silicone molds.
Smooth-On manufactures industry-leading two-component materials such as silicone, urethane rubber, urethane plastic, urethane foam, epoxy resin, epoxy coatings and adhesives.

They have more than silicone and resin. Lots of different chemicals. I had some stuff to make my own heads that would have been the same shore as the Mego heads. It's more expensive than the resin, but would work great. I just didn't have the right colors to make it flesh colored, and the chemicals expired. It is possible to do at home, with the right materials.

          Hi Back,
so i`m now taking order for these heads (they are ready to ship).
I have more than one, there is no limit as to how many you can order.
Each head is 20$ + shipping.
Shipping will sure be combined if you purchase more than one head.
You can message me on here and i will give you my e-mail address.
          thanks

If you ever do a run of 1/9 scale heads, I'd buy a few.

Go for the ones that are fairly rare.

I noticed that a lot of vintage Dinah mite heads are just too fragile to reroot. Along with Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, Mary Ellen Walton, Uhura, etc.

I would love to see Mary Ellen in different skin tones like Caucasian, Hispanic/Native American, and African American.

As for the boys, try for an unmasked Green Arrow, which is a blond Ivanhoe, Mr. Fantastic, or Robin Hood.

If you can sculpt at all, try something original.

                The possibilities are endless.

If they are able to scale 12" heads down to 8" I would say barbie heads and hot toys heads
that would be beyond awesome to get a scarlet johanson ht head in mego size - that you can still root hair into

Ah, but therein lies the dilemma...

Neither; McDreamy is the one to do.

I got a couple of these and they look pretty good.

The material is very sturdy, but not rock hard. It flexes when I squeeze the head, and the sculpt isn't too bad.

My only dilemma is picking out the color of hair, eyes and lips, and finding an appropriate body. Maybe it will fit on a Soldier Story female body.
