spider man suit - a little off topic

So I am sitting thinking of Spideys suit, specifically the circle suit I had as a kid that went the way of the trader 20 years ago. And I am trying to think of how to replicate the pattern on the fabric and I begin to wonder.

How the hell did Peter Parker do this. I mean, he is supposed to be a teenaged kid all geeked out on hormones and radioactive juice, but where did he suddenly learn about textiles. Perhaps he drew on his longjohns with a sharpie? I know this has been passed off in comic lore and continuity, but really - just where did HE get the spider print stretch fabric? Must have been a sale at Sears.

Maybe he had a friend like Austin who printed the pattern onto fabric. That's who you need to see by the way for the CSS

Any kid that's smart enough with chemistry to design his own
webshooters that shoot webs that don't need to be refilled
every five minutes ---and can hold up cars, etc.
can feasibly do ANYthing--- a suit'd be a snap.
      THERE's your answer
(Heck, he probably coulda designed and built time machines if he wanted to)

Now in the movies they smartly circumvented the whole idea
of "irrationally great web scientist" by making his webs organic---
so---um---in the movies, I have no idea how he was capable enough
      to make his Spidersuit

In the comics, he simply silk-screened the pattern onto some spandex leotards (I gotta dig out the issue where he mentioned it) and found some stretchy nylon for his underarm webbing - big fan of the "webpits"!.

No idea how he made the suit in the movies. Probably made a bunch of molds for the latex webbing and spider for the suit.
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

My Mum bought me a Life Size home made Spidey suit from a charity shop as a joke. It has a big zip up the back and yes it does ride up the crotch a bit.
It lives in my wardrobe, the wife and kids wouldn't let me throw it out.
I threatened to wear it to our wedding...but I didn't.

            Incidentally rche---
My suggestion would've been to post this thread in the comic book forum or general buzz
            forum---just mentioning----

Maybe it should say more than a little off topic

                sorry for a little off,

actually Meule answered an unasked and implied question that is in the custom realm, so perhaps I am not eternally damned just yet. Working on it tho.

This question about where the suit came from is going to be the basis for my custom of a early teenage Spidey.

That's funny because the first thing I thought of when I saw your post
                    was:

"Geez, this guy is eternally damned"

                    Your optimism is admirable.
