CHiPs Custom Question

I know in the world of Mego, CHiPs is one of the least popular discussions, but I have a question anyway. I've been watching my DVDs and I know the show is airing on MeTV. I am the proud of owner of Jon, Ponch, and Sgt. Getraer, all in mint condition with all their accessories. I can imagine for most of the CHP characters,(the cruiser cops and females) they can be customized with outfits and accessories etc. What I was wondering about are heads for three major characters. Grossman, and the two brothers who replaced Larry Wilcox (Jon) in the last season. Tom Reilly (Bobby Nelson) and Bruce Penhall (Bruce Nelson). My question is, are there any existing Mego Heads that will work for them or can these heads be cast? At one time, for Bruce Nelson, I thought of painting a Ponch head flesh tone, blue eyes, and blonde hair, but after studying the figure, I realize that won't work. With the Mego repro clothing, I know a CHP outfit can be made, but also the blue shirt/ black pants cadet uniform for Bruce Nelson. Anyway, I would appreciate any info, opinions, or suggestions before deciding if CHiPs customs is a worthy project.

In my opinion if it is something you want to do then it is worthwhile. I have done customs for myself based on one of my fave shows, (True Blood) and plan on doing more characters when I find the right heads. Anyone have suggestions on a head for Erik or Andy?

I'm not familiar with the brothers from the last season, but I think it is great you are doing CHiPs customs. I don't think anyone has done that before. I was watching a Bruce Jenner episode of CHiPs a few days ago. you should do a custom of his character,too. I know he was only on 7 episodes, but why not, I doubt EMCE or Figures will ever come out with CHiPs figures, like the did for Dukes, Happy Days and Space:1999.

Not to mention Harlan the mechanic, who was played by Lou Wagner. Lou was also Lucius in POTA. I've seen a few Lucius customs over the years, so why not give Lou a custom w/o Apes makeup?

I've also have done customs for myself from my favorite shows, (Bonanza) for example,
CHiPS customs would be very cool, I had a major crush on Randi Oaks who played Bonnie
so make sure you do a custom of her, if I have any ideas for some I'll let you know.

Shouldn't be too hard for FTC to do CHiPs figures somewhere down the road. They've got most of the parts already.
