tight fitting boots & gloves

which is the best way to make boots & gloves fit when they are tight.i don't want to split them getting them on.

warm them up first, hot water does the trick

is that hot from the tap or boiling from a kettle hot.

i would just use tap. too hot and you can shrink, deform and damage the plastic.

While boiling water helps, it does not mean that you will avoid splitting everytime. Consider removing hands and feet, if the fit is just too tight.

i think that may be the best option they are castaway white boots & they are really tight.

do you just tap the rivet out to remove the feet.

I use a push-pin tack with the point filed off, Find the side that is slightly recessed and push the plastic ankle pin through.
