    Apoxie Sculpt or Magic Sculpt?

I've been using Magic sculpt, but was wondering how it compares to Apoxie Sculpt? about the same or is one easier to work with than the other?

I have to change my original post. Apoxie Sculpt is better because it is less sticky and easier to work with.

Why do you like Magic better?

I don't know if this means anything, but I've noticed there is a huge difference in Magic-Sculpt nuetral/grey, and Magic-Sculpt white. Grey is much better for working a sculpture in, and the white is thinner/stickier, better for filling and clean up on a casting. Both grey and white build up on the finger tips. White builds up much quicker. Very sticky.

the one I have now is grey I believe. It mixes up not quite white. It works well, it does get a bit sticky working with it.

I've only been able to get apoxie up here in canada. overall it's extremely versatile and useful for my purposes (which is mostly modifying existing sculpts). Although it's not always perfect for filling in tiny holes or cracks... would magic sculpt be better for that?

I've always used MS, but I have a tub of Aves Apoxie to finish a project. So if I have a preference, I'll let you know after I try it.

I take back what I said earlier! It was magic sculpt that was sticky. It recommended to use gloves. It was very hard to not get a lot of finger prints in what I made. Apoxie Sculpt was better and I like it better. Not as sticky and easier to smooth. Much better to work with. Go with the Apoxie Sculpt!

wow, glad I didn't buy yet. I was going to stick with magic sculpt as it is sticky enough already.

thanks. Lonnie. I'm going to give the apoxie sculpt a whirl this time. A pound lasted me a long time with the magic sculpt. For sculpting over resin "skulls" I've had a resurgence of sculpy use as I did on the Hulk and soon, Red Hulk.

All sculpy does for me is make me frustrated! I've never had it bake right. I've tried to boil like some people and nothing ever worked for me.
