Doc's hands are scaled for the body he sells, so the hands should fit with no issues... Just push the wrist pin out, take the old hands off & put the "spell hands" on... Put the wrist pin back in place and you're set...

Hi
I've ordered 2 pairs (actually 3 'cause I messed up one hand) from the Doctor and neither used the factory wrist pin, both were cast with a 'peg' that pushes into the forearm, like his fist hands.
The method I came up with, which worked on a CTV body & a Doc green body, was "boil & pop" the hand & wrist pin out and try to push the spell hand in. Don't force it, otherwise you can break that peg off (that's why I've had to buy an extra pair). Using a hobby knife &/or file I removed some material off the peg, warmed up the forearm again and re-tried installing the hand. With a little trial & error (and not a whole lot) it will pop in and when the forearm cools the hand ain't going anywhere-in fact position the hand where you want it because I wouldn't want to be turning it when everything is at the same temperature.
Going off memory the left hand needs a little more reworking than the right, and there was less work involved with the Doc body than the CTV one (which makes sense)
That's my story, your results may vary, but I hope this helps.

Riderfan,
What you said as far as how you put them on is the way I would have told him to do it knowing what I know about those hands now...
When I told him how to put them on, I was under the impression they were styled with the wrist pin assembly (because that's the way they look to me on the picture on his website-the picture showing the yellow spell hands looks like the wrist pin assembly, at least to me anyway...)
So, it looks like I might have gave some incorrect info... In any case, I'm sure daz71 will be able to figure it out...Comment

apes3978,
You're absolutely correct, the yellow spell hand photo appears to use a wrist pin, yet the 'glow' one further down shows the peg I refer to (the hands I used were yellow & green, not glow btw). I was going to mention this, but I thought my reply was already too long!
I wasn't trying to 'show you up' or anything-me 65 posts, you 2000, easy math
And daz71 I agree with apes3978 completely, you'll figure it out, not hard, and hopefully a little easier for you now.
Best regards guys!

Riderfan,
I didn't think you were trying to show me up at all... I just didn't want daz71 "What the heck?!?" LOL
And as far as mentioning things or not because you think your post might be too long: Don't leave things like that stop you from saying what you want to sayPost counts don't equate to the information being correct... Actually, I found your info useful myself: I didn't even give the wrist peg a thought, then I checked Doc's website and seen the "glow" ones are as you described... I learned something myself...
Everything's cool...Comment
