mego scale working flashlight?

I've got an idea for a diorama that would include a mego figure holding a working flashlight.
I'm looking into dollhouse and railroad lighting but it's all new to me.
Has anyone ever made or seen a tiny flashlight or have any ideas?
Ideally I could wire up an led (hiding the wiring in the figure's clothing) and maybe house it in a tiny black "flashlight" glued to the figure's hand with an on/off switch off to the side or underneath.
Also, does anyone know if a tiny bulb would "project" like a flashlight or would it just basically be a tiny lamp?
Either way is ok I just like the idea of a beam of light coming from the flashlight for the atmosphere.

They make little lights like these for going on fishing poles and bobbers. I have seen them in red, yellow and green. They are MEGO flashlight sized. A yellow one would work for a flashlight.

that is so cool!
unfortunately, with the design idea I have it wouldn't work. I would need remote control over powering it on or off.
(I plan to have the figure holding the light inside a hole in a wall)
now that I think about it some more, I might just go with a mego scale lantern with a tiny led I can power with a battery.

That's just a small dollhouse lantern/light. I'm sure you could find something like it on Ebay in Doll house miniature lanterns.


The wiring is super easy and low voltage (12v). All you need is a 120v to 12v transformer, wire with a built in switch and probably a couple little pieces of electrical tape.


You might be able to find a cheap "Dollhouse lighting kit" that would have everything you would need and instructions.

in your opinion, could I power this with a battery? I really don't want this plugged into a wall outlet, and an on/off toggle switch would be ideal.

It looks like they sell 'Battery light kits" for doll house lighting. I just looked at a 3volt one that comes with a battery holder with switch on that and two 3Volt led lights.That one looks to have short wires but you could always add more wire.

The lantern you are showing is 12Volt but you could always pull that bulb and wiring and replace it with your battery operated leds.

You can dig around Ebay a little better and probably find somethings that will work for you.
