Never did this before...so I have a beginner's question. My figure broke and I'm trying to get a head onto a body. I'm trying to force it but the head doesn't want to stay on.
Here's the best way to put a head on an unbroken body... heat a small bowl of water in the microwave (45-60 seconds). be careful, the water will be very hot. Dip the head (or at least the neck plug) into the hot water. I use a pair of kitchen tongs to hold on to it. Let the head soak for about 15-20 seconds. Remove from water and dry quickly. The neck plug should be soft enough (and probably still be pretty warm to the touch) for the head to pop right in.
If the issue is that the body or neck hole is damaged due to the break, you're probably best finding a replacement body.
Also, if it's a hard resin head, you might need to sand the plug with a dremel rotary tool to make it fit the hole.Ones that will do the job cost around $25 to $40. If you are going to make custom figures, it'll be well worth it.
