Are customizers going to buy FTC figures?

For me, there are some FTC figures that I will buy like the '66 Batman Series figures and those will go straight into my collection. And, there are some that will become fodder for kitbashing and customizing.

I also wanted a Alfred so I could kitbash and make an Avengers Jarvis but, I just couldn't fit him into my budget with all of the customs projects I have going on this summer.

There is ALOT of potential with FTC's upcoming offerings...Solomon Kane, Kull, and Jane are on the top of my list.

My customs are a significantly different style than the Mego style, so I don't really have a conflict with getting an FTC Bizarro (if they shrink the head a bit, that is!) even though I have one of my own. The FTC figures are a chance for me to have a set of "original" Megos.

I also hope to get extras as fodder; I've already ordered some extra Supes and Supergirls, as well as Korak (great new head to play with) and Jane. I was honestly considering replacing my Alfred head with the new one if it came out well; the sculpt is great, but the size meant no extra sale on him, and my Alfred keeps his modified Rookies head for now. I'd consider the same thing with something like Jimmy Olsen or Comm. Gordon if the head they make isn't bulbous. FTC can get a lot of extra sales from me if the new heads are in scale like Korak appears to be.

I'll get Bizarro even though I prefer the one Ron did years back. It's just Super Friends accurate and what I like better. The head is off, but so is the character. Wanna see Egghead and Freeze.

For me it depends. I want FTC to make some so I can give them to my girls to play with. especially female characters! Part of me wants to buy these so I can have something like I had as a child like Batman and Robin. However, I made my own customs that I love and match my personal vision of Batman and Robin. Ultimately, it is about money, I just can't afford to buy them all. If I did have the cash, then I think I would buy them even if I did have a custom of the character!

If anything, with all the new Mego stuff coming from FTC, EMCE and NECA, I'm pretty much done with customizing anything superhero or horror related for the time being. Don't want to start something only to find out FTC is releasing a version in a few months, y'know?

a bit expensive to buy just for customising when you can just buy the seperate bits from dr.mego.
