I've read about customizers using a vinyl paint. Can anyone tell me if there is a particular brand that's best and what are the pros and cons

Duplicolor Vinyl Spray Paint is pretty good.
Rustoleum makes a Black and White that are better coverage, and cheaper.
They also have an Auto Vinyl Spray in Tan, Black, and White.

I have tried a bunch of hardware plastic paints and vinyl dyes on a pair of Doc' black boots and they all flaked and were not durable. That was just boots, so not sure about heads, suits, belts. I would buy white or very light colored parts and dye them like shown in this vid, which I have had excellent success with....

great link. thanks for sharing. hmmm...I wonder a little acetone added to the mix would help with color adhering to fabrics. Some guys are having trouble getting color into CTVT bodysuits in another thread.Check out my photoblog: http://megomuseum.com/community/blog...773-plaztekmanComment

I just used the Dupli-color vinyl & fabrics paint on my '66 Robin gloves and they look great. Dried fast with no runs.Meerkat MegoComment
